Road safety within our neighbourhood

As some of you may be aware, there was a serious accident two weeks ago at the corner of Jalan 4/14 between a car and a young cyclist (both of whom are our neighbours).
I'm hoping that we will collectively reach out to our family members, relatives, friends and others whom visit us to remind them to please drive slowly and carefully within our neighbourhood to ensure that we do not have another similiar incident.
We have children cycling and some of us do our regular jogs around our neighbourhood and road safety is absolutely paramount !

  2. Dear fellow residents,
    Re:Latest break-ins.
Last Weds (20th Oct), the residents committee was given first hand news of 4 break-ins @Tropicaca Indah by their Residents Chairman ! It all happened in the past few months, the latest in the past 2 weeks. A group of South Americans in a car were finally apprehended after breaking in twice. A well dressed gentleman was responsible for at least burglary and the last break-in was
unaccounted for. Nearer by, we heard about Villa Damansara suffering on one occassion during this time and also note the D'Shire case below. Last week,in Sierra Damansara itself, an unlocked car was burgled of personal effects in Jln 4/15. We are now clearly warned !! By Philip Lee.

  4. i felt sorry for the accident that occur that 3 weeks ago. Hopefully the young cyclist will recover soon.

I am writing here because i cant find an email address to reach to your committees. I am here to express my frustrations of the newly built bumpers from along 4/14 into 4/19

On a straight road, you have built 5 bumpers (with no warning signs at the beginning).

The bumpers are thin and tall (which is also unregulated to the road regulations) forcing all drivers to almost completely utterly stop at every bumper fearing to hit the bottom of their cars.

Especially in the morning and at night when driving out, a smooth ride out becomes annoying and irritating. It is Personally very frustrating every time i pass through that road now. I believe many residence felt the same.

I have a few question to the committees and i hope it can be answered wholeheartedly.

    1) Why build bumpers forcing residents to slow down whereas a yellow zebra line should have suffice to be set as a reminder to slow down only during outdoor peak hours at the evening? It would have also saved the residents lot's of money.

    2) Why build bumpers when a simple reminder road signs targeted for CYCLIST and parents would also increase awareness of both young cyclist and drivers and also the residence?

    3) And now that the straight road has been 'bumpered', it will start diverging drivers who want to avoid the bumpers into the neighborhood of 4/18 (after turning left from 4/14), jeopardizing more young children there (main playground entrance facing the neighborhood). What is the committee going to do about it now?

I deeply believe spending more money on bumpers in 4/18 is NOT going to solve the problem.

No doubt the bumpers are good measures taken to reduce further accidents like this. I recommend that the bumpers are reduced to leave only at the end the corners.

Also please remake the bumpers wider, firmer and more professionally for the comfort and safety of other residents at 4/18 and 4/19. The current bumper is unacceptable. I look forward to the responds of the committee. It is much appreciated.

    A resident of 4/19a

  5. Dear commitee, I am pointing out this particular issue where I find a disturbing act that guards are abusing the dog; Rottweiler. There has been sharp whinning from the dog almost everyday especially midnight. I have also witness the guards throwing the ball at the dog's body and head, and pulling the dogs ear. Hence the dog whining pretty loudly. If this act continues, I rather we do not have dogs to place at the entrance to protect us. Please do something about this!!!! Guard dogs are useful but not to the extent whereby guards themselves is abusing the dogs.
